DECODI is a duly registered, faith-based, not-for-profit Christian organization that is committed to empowering rural poor communities, particularly single mothers in the Teso sub-region, by utilizing locally available resources to transform their lives in alignment with the Uganda government’s national Vision 2040 initiative.<\/p>

DECODI commenced its operations in Soroti district in 2007, where volunteers mobilized communities, particularly women, into groups and established Village Saving Associations. Currently, DECODI continues to work with rural poor and disadvantaged communities in Amuria, Kapelebyong, Serere, Kaberamaido and Soroti districts, serving approximately 8,000 marginalised households headed by single mothers and widows.<\/p>

Our overarching objective is to concurrently spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to win each marginalised single mother, her household and entire community for God\u2019s heavenly kingdom in response to the call of the Great Commission sounded by Jesus (Mathew 28: 16 \u2013 20) whilst empowering them to re-position as self-motivated, community change-agents and gender champions who fearlessly amplify the voices and priorities of other marginalised women and hold duty-bearers accountable.<\/p>

DECODI started to work in Soroti district in 2007- with volunteers mobilizing and organizing communities especially women into groups and establishing Village Saving Associations. To date, DECODI continues to work with the rural poor and disadvantaged communities in Amuria, Kapelebyong, Serere, Kaberamaido, and Soroti districts serving 319 women groups with a population of over 9,570 mothers mostly comprising of single mothers and widows\u2019 households with an average of seven children (76,560 beneficiaries).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
